Joann M Clemons Mitchell, age 87, passed away at her home in Cornell on December 1, 2020. She was born on December 4, 1932 to John and Hattie (Steinmetz) Clemons. Joann work numerous jobs in her lifetime and loved to travel across the United States, taking in the beautiful scenery. She never missed an issue of the Bloomer Advance or an episode of Johnny Carson. She enjoyed fishing, camping, campfires, crossword puzzles, dancing, and having the occasional cocktail. She loved spending time with her family, friends and K9 companions.
She is survived by her children: Mike Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell, Tom Mitchell, Karie Mitchell, Kelli Schindler; sister: Sister Amorette Wagner, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Hattie; brother Dr. John Clemons; sister: Geraldine “Geri” Fedie; infant son: John Joseph.
Private funeral services will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Saturday, December 5, 2020 with a public visitation at the funeral home on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM. The service will be streamed on the Olson Funeral Home website and Facebook page. Masks will be required at the visitation and funeral. Please be safe and practice social distancing. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
