Dale William Lambert, age 66, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away alongside his significant other, Belinda (Bunce) Wedemeyer, on Monday, July 6, 2020 after an accident at his residence. He was born on January 11, 1954 in Chippewa Falls to William and Gloria (Fehr) Lambert. Dale worked for more than 30 years as an HVAC Technician for Erv Smith Services until his retirement in January, 2020. He was a longtime member of the Eau Claire Moose Lodge and was an avid line dancer. He also enjoyed taking care of his garden, feeding the wildlife in his back yard and spending time with family and friends. Dale was quick with a smile, often lent a helping hand where needed, and was willing to share his wealth of knowledge with others. He was an active community member assisting with area food pantries and aluminum can recycling for the Bloomer Area Aquatic and Recreation Center.

Dale is survived by his mother: Gloria of Chippewa Falls; twin brother: David (Mary Ann) Lambert of Bloomer; brothers: Daryl (Jeanette) Lambert of Evansville WI and Delon (Terry) Lambert of Bloomer; sister: Darla (Kelly) Marshman of Waunakee WI; nieces and nephews: Brian, Eric, Katie, Megan, Lillian, Bruce, Sarah, Arianna, Zane, Kent and Cory; great niece and nephews, aunts, uncle, and many friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his father: William “Bill” Lambert; nephew: Brandon Young; and Betsy Sotka whom he previously spent almost 20 wonderful years with until her death in 2015.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 12:00 noon in the round pavilion at North Park on 9th Ave in Bloomer. A lunch will be served following the service with a time of fellowship until 4:00 PM. For everyone’s safety, please follow CDC guidelines.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Dale’s name to the Bloomer Food Pantry, the Bloomer Area Aquatic and Recreation Center, or the Eau Claire Moose Lodge.

We, like so many of Dale's friends, are still in shock and heart-broken over the tragic and seemingly senseless loss of our friend of over 30 years. It is with deep regret that I must explain our inability to attend Dale's service. I have an unchangeable all-day commitment at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville and Karen is left with staying home to care for my 98-year-old mother who lives with us. Dale will be in our hearts throughout not only the day but throughout the years to come. He has ever been a dear and close friend, sharing with us the happiness of the dance floor as well as the wonderful companionship he has afforded us over a significant span of years. I never dreamed when I saw him at the last New Years Eve dance that it would be for the last time. As he would be quick to remind all of us, life does, indeed, go on. Somehow it will go on without the sunshine of his presence and the friendship we have long treasured. We share, in our small way, your insurmountable and unexpected loss.

Sincerely, Belinda's Family

We had a wonderful time this past Saturday evening dancing and enjoying the wonderful fireworks at Holcombe with you and Belinda. Have known you since country dancing in the 90's, and you are and will be greatly missed. You were always kind , humble and very helpful. you are in our hearts and friends with our dance group forever! Enjoy your heavenly home now! My condolences go out to all of your family and friends. You were a very fine example of how humans should be!

Dale, I hope you know how much my Dad has always loved you, how greatly you are missed, and that many of my fobdest memories of my childhood include you and your family. You and David were uncles to Ben and me growing up, and I know my Dad saw you as a brother. My heart is breaking for you, your family, my dad, my grandma, and everyone who loved you and will forever miss you. I hope you are dancing up there and I know when I see you again, you will have that same genuine and warm smile on your face. Thank you for making our lives better with you in it.
