Betty A, Gehl (Gehring)

April 28, 1930 — March 12, 2019

Betty A. Gehl, age 88, passed away on March 12, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care (formerly Knapp Haven) in Chetek. She was born April 28, 1930 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Carl and Edna (Skoug) Gehring. She married Henry Gehl on April 9, 1949 and together they farmed and raised their family. She also did home health care and was the manager at Oxford Hall Assisted Living. She enjoyed playing bingo, working on the farm and spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren) and friends.

She is survived by children: Kenneth (Sue) Gehl of New Auburn, Karen (Tom) Kodesh of Chetek, Kathy Evenson of New Auburn, Nancy (Doug) Salter of Eau Claire, Barb (Steve) Kessinger of Chetek and Kristi LeClair of Kimberly WI; sister: Elaine Gehring; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Henry; children: Gary and twins, William and Wanda; granddaughter: Tammy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
