Ardell H. Branville (Abrahamson)

Ardell H. (Abrahamson) Branville, age 87, passed away peacefully February 12, 2021 at her home in New Auburn. She was born May 3, 1933, in New Auburn to Harry and Orpha Abrahamson. She attended school in New Auburn and grew up working at Harry’s Store in New Auburn. She married Perry Branville from Sand Creek June 10, 1949. Perry and Ardell traveled and lived all over the west during their young married years while Perry worked in the construction field. They resided and farmed on the family farms in the New Auburn area since the mid 1950‘s until Perry took a job on the Alaska pipeline in the mid-1970s. Ardell was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and seeing her grandchildren. They spent many winters in Arizona, but she always looked forward to returning to her home in New Auburn. Ardell spent her life taking care of other people. She worked as a caregiver for Chippewa County and cared for her grandparents, parents and husband in their time of need.

Ardell is survived by her sister: Connie Albrecht of New Auburn; 4 children: Vicky (Hugh McLaughlin) of Arizona, Martin (Nicki) of Texas, Ann (Victor Davis) of Alaska, Matthew (Heidi) of New Auburn; 6 grandchildren: Mamie (Jonathan Gonzales), Stiehl Davis, Tess Davis, Lane, Elise and Callie Branville; nieces: Cindy Webb, Kim Rosenbrook; nephews: Harry and Stuart Adrian.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Orpha Abrahamson; her husband: Perry and a sister: Delrene Adrian.

We would like to thank the wonderful caregivers who gave so much of their time and took such good care of Mom. A very special thank you to our hospice nurse who went above and beyond to work with all of us. You all are special people.

Ardell’s Memorial will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 4:00 PM with av visitation from 1:00-4:00PM at the Bloomer Moose Lodge.
